Visit the metropolitan area of Abidjan today, which includes Treichville, which is connected to Le Plateau by two significant bridges, the luxury residential neighborhood of Cocody, and Le Plateau, the city/'s center, high-rise business district. The majority of people live in Treichville, among other places. There are a few busy markets there, as well as a bustling, intriguing nightlife. The largest outdoor launderette (laundry) in Africa may be found in Abobo, which is located in the north-western area of Abidjan. There are hardly any traditional African homes left since Houphout-Boigny built concrete middle-class buildings in their place. The Basilique de Notre Dame de la Paix, the second-largest cathedral in the world after the Vatican and a near-exact duplicate of St. Peter/'s in Rome, is the brilliant focal point of everything.
