Begin your journey in the vibrant city of Lomé, Togo’s bustling capital. After your arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for a relaxing evening to unwind from your travels.
On the second day, you’ll depart from Lomé and drive through lush coconut plantations to Agbodrafo, where you’ll visit ancient slave dungeons. Continue to the Pedakondji fishermen’s village to experience the daily activities of the locals. Next, head to Glidji, the spiritual capital of the Guin Group. In Glidji, you’ll visit shrines, meet the chief priest of the sacred forest, and learn about the raising of the sacred stone ceremony. Travel to Sewatrsikope and enjoy a serene cruise on Lake Togo to Togoville, where you’ll visit the ancient German Cathedral and the traditional museum of the King of Togoville. End your day with a warm welcome from the king and his court before cruising back to Lomé.
Day three takes you on a tour of Kloto. Depart from Lomé to Kpalime, visiting funerary monuments, typical villages, markets, and a bush school along the way. Explore coffee and cocoa plantations at the foot of Mount Agou and visit the Kloto Craft Center to observe the creation of batik, macrame, and ceramics. Drive to “Campement,” an ancient German sanatorium atop Mount Kloto, then return to Kpalime for lunch. Experience the vibrant “Akpesse” folk dance in a nearby village before heading back to Lomé.
On the fourth day, immerse yourself in the mystic traditions of Togo by visiting a voodoo village. Witness a real voodoo ceremony with participants entering a trance to the rhythm of drums and ritual songs. Return to Lomé for dinner and overnight stay.
Day five brings a visit to Dzagle village, where you’ll see funerary monuments and the fetish tree. Meet the chief and his court in Yogon village and converse with them about their traditions. Travel through the fields to Lebe village, stroll down the Sio River, and enjoy a romantic cruise to Devego village. Return to Lomé for the night.
Day six is dedicated to leisure. Relax on the beach, explore Lomé at your own pace, or seek assistance from your guide to plan activities.
Your final day in Togo is a day of leisure before your departure flight, allowing you to reflect on your memorable experiences.
