Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 NDJAMENA, CHAD

Arrive Ndjamena; meet assist and transfer to hotel. Meal(s) Included: Dinner Overnight at Mercure N’Djamena Le Chari or Similar

Day 2 NDJAMENA

Full day Tour of Ndjamena Highlights will include: Visit to the Central Market Chad National Museum, view the valuable collection of the the Sarh culture dating back to the 9th century. The cathedral Mosques of the capital. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight at Mercure N’Djamena Le Chari or Similar

Day 3 NDJAMENA

After breakfast go on a tour of the village of Gaoui; the former Capital of Sao Civilization which is known for its traditional architecture and pottery. Dinner is at a local restaurant. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight at Mercure N’Djamena Le Chari or Similar

Day 4 NDJAMENA / KHARTOUM – SUDAN

Day 5 KHARTOUM

After breakfast go on a City Tour of Khartoum. Highlights will include: Visit to the National Museum; home to the salvaged temples of Upper Nubia and the frescoes from the cathedral of Faras. Ethnographical Museum. Lunch in a restaurant by the Nile. Motor boat trip to the confluence of Blue and White Nile. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight at Al Salam Rotana Hotel or Similar

Day 6 KHARTOUM – OMDURMAN – NAGA

After breakfast, go on a tour of Omdurman. Highlights will include: House of the Khalifa that has been transformed into a museum, The mausoleum of the Mahdi The bazaar of Omdurman and other popular markets. In the afternoon drive to the ancient cultic centre of Nagaa with the meroitic temple of Amun, the Roman chapel and the lion temple. Day 7 NAGA – MUSAWWARAT – MEROE

After breakfast, drive to Meroe with a stop in Musawarat to view the extensive temple area covered in rare elephant depictions. Arrive in Meroe in time for dinner and overnight. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight at Meroe Tented Camp or Similar

Day 8 MEROE – KHARTOUM

After breakfast, go on a full day tour of Meroe, more commonly known as Nubia. Visit the Meroe Pyramids located along the banks of the Nile River. There are close to two hundred pyramids located in a relatively small area. The Meroe Pyramid was built 800 years after the last Egyptian pyramids and constructed from large blocks of sandstone. Day 9 KHARTOUM / BANGUI – CENTRAL AFRICA REPUBLIC

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for flight to Bangui; Meet assist and transfer to hotel. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight at Hotel Oubangui or Similar

Day 10 BANGUI

After breakfast, go on a city tour of Bangui. Visit the Craft Center, Central market, President palace, Boganda Museum, Jean Bedel and the Bokasa Old palace. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight at Hotel Oubangui or Similar

Day 11 BANGUI – BOBELE

After breakfast drive to visit the pygmies in Mbaiki, you will have a chance to speak with them and witness a traditional performance. Afterwards return to Bangui. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight at Hotel Oubangui or Similar

Day 12 BANGUI

After breakfast, cruise on the Oubangui River, a tributary of the mighty Congo which forms the border to Congo-Brazzaville. You stop and visit the Island called “Iles des Singes” to interact with locals (the Yakoma tribe) and continue on to see the hippos. Afterwards return to Bangui for overnight. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight at Hotel Oubangui or Similar

Day 13 BANGUI

After breakfast, drive to Boali, and visit the waterfalls and city, with lunch at the local “Boali Falls Restaurant”. Afterwards, visit Crocodiles Lake.In afternoon drive back to Bangui. Transfer to the airport for flight back home. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast
