Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 Tunis, Tunisia

Arrive in Tunis, meet your guide, and proceed to your hotel. Meal(s) Included: No

Day 2 Tunis / Medina / Carthage / Sidi Bou Said / Tunis

Travel to Bardo and the Tunis Medina. Drive through the narrow streets of Tunis/'s historic center. This is an excellent opportunity to experience the rich cultural legacy of this medieval, walled city as well as the superb workmanship of Tunisian artisans. In the afternoon, travel to Carthage to see historical sights such as the ancient Tanit shrine. Continue to Sidi Bou Said, a Moorish hamlet that has managed to retain its old-world charm and calm. Day 3 Tunis / Sousse / El Jem /Sfax/Gabes

After breakfast, go to Sousse to see the Old Medina and the Sidi Sahbi Mausoleum before continuing to El Jem. Visit the old Thysdrus before going to Sfax to see the Old Town and enjoy lunch. Continue to Gabes after lunch, where you will spend the night. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 4 Gabes / Djerba / Gabes

After breakfast, go to Djerba to see the pottery studio and the Ghriba Synagogue in Hara Sghira. Your journey covers Houmt Souk, the island/'s capital, as well as the fishing harbor. Day 5 Gabes / Matmata / Douz

After breakfast, leave towards Matmata, the southernmost point of Tunisia. Visit the well-known troglodyte dwellings, which are cut into the rock surface. Continue to Douz, where you will stop for lunch. Continue to Nefzaoua and the triangle oases of Sabria, Noail, and Zaafrane after lunch. Douz for dinner and the night. Day 6 Douz / Tozeur

After breakfast, explore the legendary village of Tozeur. You will travel past the Chott El Jerid salt lake, where immense mountains of white crystals may be seen. Continue through Kébili until you reach Tozeur. Tozeur city tour, includes the Museum of Art & Culture, the historic Medina, and the one-of-a-kind palm grove. This afternoon, take a 4WD vehicle to the Lariguett sand dunes for an amazing desert adventure. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 7 Tozeur / Chebika / Tamerza / Mides / Tozeur

After breakfast, go to Chébika, Tameghza, and Midès, three intriguing mountain oasis in stunning and engaging settings. Take a one-hour train excursion through the mountains on the RED LIZARD train to Metlaoui/'s Phosphate Mines. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 8 Tozeur / Sbeitla / Kairouan / Tunis

Leisurely breakfast then departs to the ruined Roman city of Sbeitla. Spend time touring the ruins located at the foot of a hill by the river. Continue to Kairouan, once the capital of Maghreb and still an important Islamic centre. Visit the Great Mosque, an important Islamic architecture, and the Aghlabite Pools, which represent the most important piece of hydraulic engineering of the Middle Ages. Here you may visit the covered Souks in the Medina and try your bargaining skills to garner great souvenir value. Return to Tunis overnight. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Dinner
